What can i offer yoU?
I'm a sound recordist and designer with a master’s in film Sound Design from AFTRS (Australian Film Television and Radio School). Since graduating, I've worked across short films, documentaries, TVCs and broadcast productions, including sound work for Channel 7's MJ: The Musical and Beauty and the Beast broadcasts, with projects screening at festivals such as Flickerfest, CinefestOZ and St Kilda Film Festival, including, a Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Short win at Forbidden Worlds Film Festival & Best Post Production Sound nomination at St Kilda Film Festival.
My passion lies in both location recording and sound design, leaning slightly more toward on-set work.
I believe location recordists should understand post-production, and post-production sound teams should understand location recording, each side benefits from knowing the other's job.
On set, I'm meticulous about capturing clean audio, and I'll always speak up if another take or wild lines are needed for post. In sound design, I like to experiment, pulling sounds from unconventional sources, using silence to make loudness hit harder, and pushing past the obvious choice until I find something that truly serves the film's theme.
My graduating thesis, The Hardest Job in the World: A Sound Recordist's Guide into Location Sound, explores a sound recordist's role across pre-production, production and post, along with reflections on my time at AFTRS and why I believe sound remains underappreciated in the film world.
